Referrals

RCH Clinicians 

Making a referral to the Education Institute 

Any member of a patient's treatment team can make a referral to the Education Institute. All referrals must be submitted via Epic.

When making a referral please provide details including the child's school or kindergarten, year level, length of admission and any relevant educational concerns. 

Referrals will be accepted based on the patient's educational needs.

Parents and carers

If your child needs support with their learning during a hospital admission, please ask a member of your treatment team to make a referral to the Education Institute. 

Once a referral has been made, an RCH teacher will visit you to discuss your child's learning and offer the appropriate level of support.
